SELOUS GAME RESERVE:
Declared a World Heritage Site, the Selous Game Reserve is a vast region of largely unexplored wilderness teeming with wildlife and with very few roads through its interior. Bisected by the Rufiji River, the Selous is one of the most remote parks in Africa.
It is also one of the only large game reserves in Tanzania that allows walking safaris, enabling wildlife enthusiasts the chance to explore the African wilderness on foot. This is arguably one of the best ways to enjoy the natural beauty and diversity of plant life in the area, exploring the magnificent grass plains, wetlands, swamps and dense forests.
